Pearlcatchers Ltd, the innovative event and training consultancy, are taking the opportunity of the HRD 2005 exhibition to launch the second year of their highly successful Certificate in Organisational Change programme. The exhibition is being held at London's Olympia from 12th - 14th April and Pearlcatchers are returning to their usual stand 1192 on the Gallery Level.
The pilot programme finished earlier this year with rave reviews from all its delegates. As well as the standard brochure explaining the format of the programme, Pearlcatchers have also produced two new case studies - one based around the pilot, the other based on an in-company development programme for internal consultants - these will be available at Olympia.
The basic concept of the Certificate in Organisational Change is a series of complementary activities, which focus on all three of the core attributes needed by effective change management professionals:
Knowledge to understand the drivers and process of change
Familiarity with the tools available to support change
Skills necessary to apply the tools/knowledge successfully
Pearlcatchers' Sharon Young explains: "Our initial market research revealed that while there is an abundance of training available in this field, most courses deal with only one or at most two of these attributes. Obviously, knowledge of the key issues and an understanding of relevant tools are important, but to be truly effective a potential change manager needs to possess the right skills to apply them correctly. This is the basis from which we designed the Organisational Change Programme - to provide a holistic and integrated development opportunity."
