We've all marveled at the prices some items fetch on the Antiques Roadshow or even your local car boot. It just goes to show that something is only as valuable as the desire of a potential buyer to own it. Well now is your chance to put your eye for a bargain to the test !

A number of activities are available around the themes of antiques or auctions that can be held as individual rounds or events in their own right.

You can examine our display of interesting objects (from the elegant to the extraordinary) and work with your team to decide on the age, use and value of each item. Points will be awarded for both the closest and the most inventive answers. Alternatively, you can attempt to call the bluff of your fellow guests, by making up two devilish descriptions to be read out alongside the true history of your allocated antique. Again points can be earned both by guessing the correct answer and bluffing your way out of trouble.

Or try our Auction evening, which provides all the excitement of a lively team-based auction tailored to your company and hosted by our professional auctioneer. It is your job to decide how much you think your lot will go for and then encourage sales based on that price. At the same time, you need to complete your own collection, so you will need to sound out the vendor (and the competition) without appearing too keen. The climax of the evening is the fast and furious public auction, when your killer instinct really comes to the fore.
