Champagne has a reputation for quality unequalled in the world of wine, though just what is it that makes it so special? Here we find out in an immensely fun, participative and above all enjoyable challenge.
With the assistance of our 'Virtual tour of the Palate' (a computer animated show), our expert leads teams on an interactive exploration of their senses. He or she highlights the features that enable professional tasters to identify Champagne regions, quality and age. After the initial show, guests are given a range of unidentified Champagnes. With our unique system, guests will develop the skills to distinguish between Champagne and the alternatives and to judge age and quality.
A quick-fore, team based, champagne quiz is often added between rounds. Questions based on the opening show are asked along with questions submitted by the questions along the lines of "All they ever wanted to know but were afraid to ask".
While guests will learn rather more than they would at a standard tasting, the atmosphere at the challenge is light-heated and the format that of an interactive, humorous show.
